How to replace the rear caliper for Mantis PRO SE:
Step 1: Unscrew the rear caliper from its base.
Step 2: On the left lever, grip the plastic cap with pliers.or your fingers and pull it back so we can see the screw.
Step 3: Loosen the screw on the lever and pull the line out.
Step 4: Cut the zip ties that keep the cable in place.
Step 5: Remove the 2 screws from the front cover, pull out the cover and let it hang.
Step 6: Find the line organizer piece located at the opening beneath the stem and unscrew it.
Step 7: Unscrew the 3 screws on the back cover, gently pull it out and let it hang there.
Step 8: Slightly lift the mat along the edges to remove the two strips of tape covering it.
Step 9: Unscrew the 10 screws holding the plate (deck cover) down.
Step 10: Remove the cover and lift the battery up.
Step 11: Cut the old line below the stem and pull the line out
Important note: Make sure that you allow the oil to drip completely before pulling the line out.
Step 12: Take your new brake caliper and attach it to the base.
Step 13: Wire the line through the cavity along the edge of the scooter and into the battery cavity.
Step 14: Guide the line through the slot at the front right of the cavity. Push the line upwards and out of the slot.
Step 15: Push the line up the stem. Once you can see the tip of the line through the hole, begin pushing it towards you.
Step 16: Grab the tip of the line and pull it through completely.
Step 17: Take the plastic cover and lever screw from earlier and slide them on to the new line.
Step 18: Get the small gold piece from the caliper kit and slide it into the line.
Step 19: Remove the small gold cap at the end of the line and insert the new line to the lever.
Step 20: Secure the line by tightening the screw and slide the plastic cover.
Step 21: Fill up the brake line with brake fluid until full.
Step 22: Find a way to hold the lever into a de-press position. Head down to the caliper and tighten the screws to the base. Once done, unbind the lever.
Step 23: Put the front plastic cover back on and guide it back to the scooter carefully.
Step 24: Once the screw holes line at the bottom, secure it with the screws. Secure the line organizer and put the rear plastic cover back.
Step 25: Place the battery back to the cavity and put the metal cover back on. Once done, put all the 10 screws back.
How to replace the front caliper:
Step 1: Unscrew the rear caliper from its base.
Step 2: On the right lever, grip the plastic cap with pliers.or your fingers and pull it back so we can see the screw.
Step 3: Loosen the screw on the lever and pull the line out.
Step 4: Find the zip ties holding the line of the front caliper and cut them.
Step 5: Cut the brake line right above the caliper and let the brake fluid drain out onto a paper towel. Once completely drained, pull the line out from the top.
Step 6: Screw the new caliper to the front base and leave it slightly loose.
Step 7: Start threading the line up the stem and push the tip of the line once you see it through the hole.
Step 8: Attach the plastic cover, then the screw and finally the small gold piece.
Step 9: Remove the gold cap at the end of the line, and stick the line in the slot.
Step 10: Secure the line by tightening the screw and slide the plastic cover.
Step 11: Fill up the brake line with brake fluid until full.
Step 12: Find a way to hold the lever into a de-press position. Head down to the caliper and tighten the screws to the base. Once done, unbind the lever.
How to change the calipers for the WW:
Step 1: Unscrew the rear caliper from its base.
Step 2: On the left lever, grip the plastic cap with pliers.or your fingers and pull it back so we can see the screw.
Step 3: Loosen the screw on the lever and pull the line out.
Step 4: Undo the velcro straps keeping the line covers in place along the stem and remove the line cover as well.
Step 5: Slightly lift up the deck pad and unscrew the seven screws holding the deck.Once done, lift up the board and the plastic liner beneath it and put it aside.
Step 6: Unscrew the fender and the 3 screws holding the front cover in place
Step 7: Cut the brake line. Make sure to drain the brake fluid completely before pulling the line out.
Step 8: Attach the new caliper to the rear base.
Step 9: Push the line through the body cavity. Guide the line through the cavity and through the opening of the front cavity.One through, guide it to the top lever.
Step 10: Slide the plastic cover, the screw and the and the small gold piece from the new caliper set on the brake line.
Step 11:Remove the gold cap at the end of the line and stick the line in the lever slot. Tighten the screw and slide the plastic cover over
Step 12: Refill the brake fluid. Once full, hold the lever to a de-press position and tighten the calipers to its base.Unbind the lever once done.
Step 13: Place the deck cover back and secure it with the screws.
Step 14: Screw the front cover back. Once done, make sure to install the fender.
Step 15: Put the cord liner back along the cords and velcro it in place.
How to replace front caliper for WW
Step 1: Unscrew the front caliper from its base.
Step 2: On the right lever, grip the plastic cap with pliers.or your fingers and pull it back so we can see the screw.
Step 3: Loosen the screw on the lever and pull the line out.
Step 4: Undo the velcro straps keeping the line covers in place along the stem and remove the line cover as well.Remove the old line and caliper completely
Step 5: Screw the new caliper to the front base.
